The time has gone by so fast since I wrote last. We went to our friends on Saturday, but were unable to go to the Pumpkin Patch because of record rainfall in the area. It turned out that we had a great visit with our dear friends and my niece. Good company and a large pot of chili made for a very enjoyable time.
My Mom had some medical testing scheduled so I stayed with her for a couple of days. Everything turned out well with her---she is healthy and feisty---a great combination that keeps her going.
I've been trying to stay busy with the spinning and plying, trying to get all the wool I have spun and ready for knitting Christmas gifts. We have had several constant companions in our yard since the middle of summer. A doe and her two offspring and this single doe---We call her Blossom because of her fondness for all of our flowers. She is particularly fond of the fuschias and the roses, but of late she has been keeping all the fallen apples cleaned up for us.
I am so glad that we continue to have Fall colors around here---While living in Alaska, Fall was over in a flash. We would see the aspen and birch trees turn yellow, then a wind would come along and all the leaves were gone and winter would settle in for the following six months. I really don't miss it.
Awww, life in Colonial America sounds so fine!
Love the blue yarn you spun.
Blossom is sweet.
Isn't Autumn just the most beautiful time of year? To think that God created every color, takes my breath away.
We had such a great time with you guys, so glad you could come, and so glad you got to spend time with Amanda and the kids.
Glad all is well with your mamma!
Love you :)

Yay! I was so happy to find out that you have a blog! Wish I could have joined all of you last weekend- I miss you. And I am so glad to hear that Grandma is healthy + feisty :) Autumn over here is going much too fast- this year it has seemed very Alaska-ish. We had a freeze too early in the season (a couple of weeks ago), and so most of our leaves haven't been as vibrant and have already fallen. Makes me sad!
